Soccer Camp begins tomorrow

    Soccer Camp with Bruno begins tomorrow and goes through Saturday. The times are 8am -4pm. Saturday we will finish at 12pm.  Please bring lunch, snack, water bottle, sunscreen, soccer ball and your Bible.

Wednesday night activities resume 6/1

    Our Wednesday activities resume tomorrow night at 5:15 with supper. At 6 we all meet together for worship and a quick lesson. After the lesson there will be activities for all ages. Please come!

Freedom Riders

    Friday, May 20th from 5:30-6pm, we will gather outside First Baptist on Ripley Street across from the police station for prayer and worship. This gathering will be a part of the 50th anniversary of when the Freedom Riders came into Montgomery in 1961.  The Freedom Riders were a group of yong people who were trying to integrate the interstate bus system. They gathered  at First Baptist on Ripley Street the night of May 21st for prayer and to hear words of encouragement. Outside, around 2000 whites gathered in a violent mob trying to attack the church.

    On Friday, May 20 we want to recreate that mob except we want it to be a gathering of people praying, seeking God, thanking God for how far we have come, and asking God to bring more reconciliation in the future. Please bring your friends and family as we tell a different story, that through Christ, reconciliation happens.

Senior Recognition

This Sunday, May 22, we will be honoring eight seniors that will be graduating this year. Come join us during the worship service as we celebrate their graduation!  Congratulations to Tre', Jordan, Caitlin, Taylor,

Chad, Andrew, Baxter and John Michael! 

New Budgeting Class

Starting May 18 John Schneider will be leading a hands-on class where participants will learn to track their actual spending adn develop a spending plan that will help them bring their finances under God's control. The classes are from 6:30-8pm.

Annual Church Picnic & Awana Grand Prix

Please join us on Sunday, May 15 for a fun afternoon of fellowship and food at our church picnic.  Come out early to watch the exciting Awana Grand Prix races. Car check in is at 2:30 with the races starting at 3pm. Afterwards come outside and enjoy all the activites! The cookout begins at 5:30. The church will provide meat so please bring side dishes and desserts.

Opportunity to help tornado victims

     This Sunday after church Jimmy Garrett and Lauren Riddle (Karen Golson's daughter) will be heading to Pleasant Grove with a trailer of supplies. If you would like to contribute please bring your items to the church Sunday morning. Suggestions of things that are needed: can openers, toiletries, tarps, cleaning supplies, wipes, diapers, any baby items, water, canned goods, pet supplies, paper products, and non-perishable food items. Please do not bring clothing items!! Thank you so much!!

Awana Awards Ceremony

Our last Awana for this school year will be this Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30 in the sanctuary. Please join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of all our Awana kids!
