Christmas Eve Service

We will have a Christmas Eve candelight and communion service December 24, at 5pm. Childcare will be provided for babies only.

Picnic Today!

    Don't forget to bring your picnic lunch and join us at the Stoneybrooke neighborhood pavilion immediately after worship. Bring your lawn chairs, fishing poles and any fun outdoor toys you want to play with. There is a playground for the kids!! The weather is going to be fabulous so come on out for a fun afternoon!! Maps are available in the office!

KiDz KrAzY dAy 2

All 1st - 6th graders come join us on July 29th at the zoo for our second Krazy Day! Everyone meet at the front gate a 9am. Kids in 1st-6th grade may be dropped off. Kids below first grade will need to be accompanied by an adult!

Immediately following worship this Sunday, June 26, everyone is invited to bring or pick up some lunch and head on out to the Stoneybrooke Neighborhood pavilion (Jeremy and Sheri's neighborhood) for a fun-filled afternoon.

Summer Reading Program Begins

Dont forget that our Summer Reading program begins this Friday, June 26 here at Gateway.  Starting this Friday through July 29th from 8am-12pm we will be having a reading program every weekday. It will be a chance to to play, read, have Bible Study and just have fun. Please turn in your forms to the office as soon as possible if you plan to have your child attend.

Senior Recognition

This Sunday, May 22, we will be honoring eight seniors that will be graduating this year. Come join us during the worship service as we celebrate their graduation!  Congratulations to Tre', Jordan, Caitlin, Taylor,

Chad, Andrew, Baxter and John Michael! 

New Budgeting Class

Starting May 18 John Schneider will be leading a hands-on class where participants will learn to track their actual spending adn develop a spending plan that will help them bring their finances under God's control. The classes are from 6:30-8pm.

Easter Sunday

Sunrise Service-6am  New This Year!!  This year we will be joining with Christians from several area churches at Grace at Bell Road (corner of Bell & Atlanta Highway) for this special service. A continental breakfast will be served following the service.

Sunday School-9 am

Worship- We will have an Easter Celebration service at 10:30 am with special music from our children and others.

Christmas Communion, Candelight Service and Baptism

On December 24, 2010, we had a Christmas Communion, Candelight Service and Baptism

The Christmas Eve Service is the most wonderful time of year and special service in the life of the body at Gateway.We always sing hyms and light the Christ candle of advent. This year the candle was lit by the Bauman family with children reading scripture and lighting the candle.

 

 

 

This year was exceptionally great as we had a baptism.One of our military families was blessed to have their husband and father home from deployment to baptize two children just one week before they move after living in Montgomery for three years. What a blessing. Another military family who is only here for a few more months was blessed to have a little girl baptized just after her father honored the Lord in baptism. What a special night. Many people gathered around these families speaking special words of encouragement.

  As tradition, we always end with Silent Night and light the room with candles all stemming from the Christ candle. This year so many were in attendance that families had to share! What a wonderful, intimate time with each other as we celebrated Christmas.

 

Christmas Dinner Theater & Haiti Trip Fundraiser

On Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 we had a Christmas Dinner Theater & Haiti Trip Fundraiser.

A Christmas one-act written and directed by Jenniffer Haberkorn warmed the hearts and tickled the funny bone of many Gateway families. The skit was performed by Tom Haberkorn, John Wible, and Audrey Gillis along with youth performers Ashtyn Cross, Jenna Moore, and Sara Gillis accompanied by musical perormance Ashley Hostetter and pianist Ira Hostetter.

The children's choir performance was wonderful and it reminded us all of the true
meaning of Christmas. Our youth served a tasty dinner prior to the performance and raised
a lot of money for the Haiti Mission Trip in the spring.
